Intro
For those who prefer absolute isolation, privacy and exclusivity in Namibia — and the ideal place for the traveller who seeks tranquillity and intimacy — our newly built KuanguKuangu, with its exquisite finishes, is the place for you. Ideal for honeymooners, anniversary celebrations, or simply to be enjoyed in solitude.
As the sun sets, gather around the firepit outside and marvel at the starry night sky, listening to the bark of the gecko at dusk and the nearby wildlife. Watch as zebras and oryx pass by on the mountain, adding to the magic of your stay.
Architecture
Unwind in the open-air shower and let the warm water wash away your worries as you take in the breathtaking views of the Namib. The glass walls of your room provide a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape, while a wide veranda offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity. KuanguKuangu is snugged away behind the mountain, about 1 km north-west of the main building. The bedroom, with a spectacular view to the west and south-west, is an oasis of quietness and inspiration.
Stargazing
The Namib is reputedly the best place in southern Africa to observe the stars. KuanguKuangu comes from Omukuangukuangu, an Ovaherero word meaning the Milky Way.
In the area
Ubib Grotto (Prehistoric Rock Paintings) — Pre-historic paintings estimated as more than 2,000 years old, in a cave high in the mountains.
