Intro
The Camp is situated close to the banks of the Linyanti River, and the fact that there is no fence allows large mammals and other animals to roam freely in the vicinity. This enhances the sense of remote wilderness and adventure for guests, who experience an environment that’s unique for Namibia and the Caprivi: an Okavango-Delta-like blend of wetlands, woodlands and open plains.
Architecture
The main building is built around a huge jackalberry tree, with first and second floors that house the reception, dining, lounge and bar areas. The second floor has a spacious, comfortable lounge that gives guests an exceptional view of the surroundings, while the ground floor hosts a communal fireplace for evening catch-up.
Accommodation
Four exclusive luxury tents and one double guide tent. Rooms are equipped with side lamps, a charging facility, in-room bathroom, coffee/tea station, hot water, and solar electricity — a superb eco-friendly, personalised safari experience. Each customised tent averages 32.4 m², with breathtaking views across the lagoons.
Sustainability
Jackalberry Camp is certified and rated 5 / 5 by the Namibia Eco Awards.
Nkasa Rupara National Park
Nkasa Rupara is Namibia’s largest wetland area, in the Zambezi region (formerly Mamili National Park). It is characterised by a complex network of channels, islands and floodplains — similar to the Okavango Delta — and is a haven for wildlife including large herds of elephant and buffalo. The park is most accessible in the dry season (May to November), as significant flooding in the rainy season can make many roads impassable and requires a capable 4×4 vehicle for entry.
