The Hideout is simply yet comfortably equipped for your essential needs,<\/span><span>\u00a0a solid and safe haven from the sometimes harsh desert conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This is an atmospheric renovated old farmhouse. It has 3 bedrooms inside the house and one double bedroom in the outbuilding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><span>An expansive shady stoep, a large newly-renovated kitchen with a gas stove and a solar-powered fridge\/freezer, and a spacious lounge are features of the house.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><span>A free-standing fire place with a glass door has been installed in the lounge to provide warmth and atmosphere during the winter months. Fascinating desert creatures can be seen and experienced \u2013 barking geckos, lizards, beetles, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Mammals to be seen are mainly Oryx and Springbok antelopes, Zebra, Ostrich, Bat-eared Foxes and a few Giraffe. Large flocks of Namaqua Sand Grouse are regular visitors to our waterholes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Activities<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p><span>Enjoy the spectacular views over the vast plains and ancient blue mountain ranges, or one of our activities into the glowing red dunes for a close encounter with the fascinating variety of Namib Desert fauna and flora.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span> The kids will love the dune-boarding and endless open spaces, or chasing after beetles and lizards scuttling over the sand dunes.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A small waterhole just 50m from the veranda attracts a myriad of birdlife as well as oryx, springbok, zebra, bat-eared fox, porcupines and other wildlife.
